For the second consecutive year, Minnesota's Carlie Wagner has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 6 Team. The junior guard is one of five players chosen to the roster.
CoSIDA's Academic All-District program recognizes student-athletes who succeed in the classroom while making significant contributions in competition. Wagner has maintained a 3.64 grade point average in business and marketing education while leading the Golden Gophers in scoring.
Wagner averages 19.8 points per game and recently moved up to ninth on the program's all-time career scoring list with 1,478 points. She has made a team-high 62 3-pointers this season, and adds 5.2 rebounds per game.
This is the fifth Academic All-District certificate the Gophers have earned in three seasons under Marlene Stollings. Wagner, also a 2016 Academic All-Big Ten honoree, was joined by teammates Joanna Hedstrom and Shayne Mullaney on last year's District 6 roster.
