Gophers Meet with Frozen Four Media

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Head coach Brad Frost and Gophers Lee Stecklein and Dani Cameranesi participated in Minnesota's press conference prior to Thursday's practice at the NCAA Women's Frozen Four at The Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo.
Opening statement...
Frost: "Very excited to be here in St. Charles and be a part of the Frozen Four once again [with] four great teams, and we are looking forward to a great battle here against Clarkson. "
On the same teams as last season making up the Frozen Four field...
Frost: "The semifinal matchups are different, so we went from playing Wisconsin in the semis the last three years, who we know everything about each other, to now playing Clarkson this year, who we haven't played this year and don't know a ton about. It's an exciting opportunity for our team to get out and play Clarkson once again. We know they have had a great year, ECAC champs in the regular season and then in the tournament, so we are expecting a great battle.
On comparing this current team to past seasons...
Stecklein: "Each team is different every year, and you have to treat each experience as a unique one. I think this one has gone through more than the other teams in the past, just some more challenges, more injuries, and I'm really proud how we've found a way through each of those and really grown as a group."
On overcoming injuries during her senior season...
Cameranesi: "The journey has definitely been different than in past years, and injuries definitely made my senior season difficult. But, I couldn't be more excited to be back with my team and playing. Reaching the Frozen Four is another big feat for us, and as Lee said, we've been through a lot of adversity. These are very exciting times, and I'm just grateful to be back out there playing alongside my team.
