MESA, Ariz. - The Minnesota women's golf team posted the eighth-best team score of the day, opening play at the Clover Cup on Friday at the Longbow Golf Club.

Minnesota carded a team score of 300 (12+) - eighth best out of 15 teams.

Junior Heather Ciskowski sits tied for 21st after the first round, just one-over-par at 73. Behind her is senior Emie Peronnin, tied for 27th at two-over-par with 74.

At the top is Houston's Courtney Tibiletti, tied with Julienne Soo of Oklahoma at 66 (-6), while Florida State is atop the team leaderboard at 279.

The Gophers will resume play tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
