Bloomington, Ind. - The University of Minnesota's Toby Hanson and Jordan Smith were voted to the Big Ten All-Tournament Team Sunday.
The all-tournament team was selected by the media who attended the tournament throughout the week.
First baseman Toby Hanson had a .476 batting average (10-21) during the tournament. He scored three runs while hitting one double, driving in six runs and was 3-3 in stolen bases. Hanson's one home run came against Northwestern. Hanson's 10 hits were the most by a player in the tournament and he was third with 14 total bases.
Jordan Smith had a .429 batting average (9-21), two doubles and five RBIs. He also drew two walks and recorded 13 putouts in the outfield. His one assist in the outfield resulted in a runner being thrown out at second base in the game versus Indiana. Smith's nine hits were tied for second most in the tournament by a player.
The Gophers fell to the tournament champion, Iowa, in a 13 inning affair in last night's semifinal game.
