MINNEAPOLIS -- Temi Ogunrinde began her track & field career at the University of Minnesota as a walk-on sprinter and ended her redshirt sophomore season as the Big Ten Conference champion in the hammer throw.
Ogunrinde spent one semester training with the sprinters before transitioning to the throws group. After training as a hammer thrower for less than two full years, Ogunrinde qualified for the NCAA Championship and broke Minnesota's program record in the hammer this season along with winning the B1G title.
