Minnesota's offense has been heating up.
The Gophers finished the Indiana game with 482 yards of total offense (180 rushing/302 passing), and have now averaged 450.7 yards over the past three games. The Gophers had 396 yards (178 rushing/218 passing) at Ohio State and had 474 yards (125 rush/349 pass) at Nebraska. Minnesota's most productive offense under Coach Fleck came last season when the Gophers totaled 514 yards of total offense (409 rushing/105 passing) against Nebraska.
You have to go all the way back to the 2013 season to find a Big Ten game where the Gophers totaled more than 482 (amount they had against Indiana this year) yards of total offense. In 2013, Minnesota accumulated 496 yards of total offense (227 rushing/269 passing) in a win at Indiana.
Minnesota had a 99-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter against Indiana this season. It was the longest scoring drive for the Gophers since it also went 99 yards at Northwestern on Oct. 4, 2003.
