Big Ten Women's Basketball Week kicked off the unofficial start of the 2018-19 season last week. Each day of the week came with new content, including award lists, team schedules and interviews from all of the Big Ten teams.
Monday, Oct. 22
As a team, Minnesota was selected third in the Big Ten Media Preseason Rankings. Individually, Kenisha Bell was a consensus Preseason All-Big Ten Team pick by the media and coaches, while Destiny Pitts was also named to the media's Preseason All-Big Ten Team after being the Big Ten Freshman of the Year last season.
Tuesday, Oct. 23
Big Ten Network interviewed Lindsay Whalen to preview her debut season as the Gophers' head coach.
Wednesday, Oct. 24
Senior Kenisha Bell took to the media this time for an interview with Big Ten Network, talking about the expectations she has for this team heading into the season.
Thursday, Oct. 25
Bell participated in the Associated Press Basketball Chat on Twitter where she answered questions submitted by fans.
Junior Taiye Bello also received recognition for her performances on and off the field.

Friday, Oct. 26
The Big Ten posted Minnesota's full schedule and Lindsay Whalen took part in the Big Ten Women's Basketball Coaches Teleconference, answering questions from the media about the upcoming season.
