Tyler Johnson is having a season for the record books.
Tyler Johnson is having one of the best seasons ever for a Gopher receiver.
He has caught 62 balls (tied for sixth in school history), for 948 yards (fifth in school history) and 9 touchdowns (tied for fourth in school history). He is the first Gopher ever to post at least 62 catches, 948 yards and 9 touchdowns in one season.
The Minnesota single-season record for receptions is 84 (Eric Decker, 2008) and the mark for yards is 1,125 (Ron Johnson, 2000) and touchdowns is 11 (Ron Johnson, 2000; Omar Douglas, 1993).
Tyler Johnson is 22 catches behind Decker, 177 yards behind Ron Johnson and two touchdowns behind Ron Johnson and Douglas for single-season records.
