The University of Minnesota had four student-athletes named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District® first team in football as selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of American (CoSIDA). This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

Payton Jordahl notches his second honor in a row while Jacob Herbers, Sam Renner and Gary Moore are first-time honorees.

Jordahl already has his undergraduate degree in youth development leadership and is working on obtaining a master's degree. He holds a 4.00 GPA. He has spent all four seasons as the Gophers primary long snapper and has snapped 482 times in his career (264 punt, 138 point after attempts and 80 field goals). He has also made 10 tackles and recovered one fumble.

Herbers is a mechanical engineering major with a 3.58 GPA. He has been the Gophers primary holder for the past three seasons and is a Mortell Holder of the Year semifinalist. This is his first year as the Gophers starting punter and he is averaging 41.4 yards on 46 punts. He has placed 16 inside the 20 and Minnesota has yielded only 10 punt return yards this year.

Moore also earned his undergraduate degree already and is working on his master's degree in youth development leadership. He has a 4.00 GPA and has been a mainstay on the Gophers defensive line the past two seasons. Last April, Moore was presented with the Richard "Pinky" McNamara Student-Athlete Achievement Award, a distinction given to those who inspire others through their success amid adversity.

Renner earned his undergraduate degree and is going for his master's degree in accountancy. He has a 4.00 GPA and has been steady in the Gophers defensive line rotation after being awarded a scholarship last spring.
