Minnesota players distributed Thanksgiving meals to local families

The University of Minnesota football team hosted its annual Turkey Drive on Tuesday at TCF Bank Stadium. Head coach P.J. Fleck and members of the team passed out more than 200 turkeys and holiday sides to local families.
With roaring fire pits and seasonal music, the Gophers welcomed car after car to the stadium for the second consecutive year. Drivers and passengers were greeted by members of the team and were offered hot chocolate and t-shirts. They then received a pre-packaged M bag with a frozen turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberries inside. Happy Thanksgivings were also distributed liberally during the event.

Members of the team donated money to help support the Turkey Drive and local grocer Cub supplied the holiday fixings. The team worked with nine different organizations to distribute the meals.
