Minnesota has allowed only 10 punt return yards all season.

In the first game of the season, the Gophers allowed 13 punt return yards to New Mexico State. Minnesota has punted 37 times since the first game of the year, but they have not allowed a single punt return yard. In fact, opponents have gone the opposite direction as they collectively have negative-3 punt return yards in the last eight games.

For the year, Minnesota has allowed only 10 punt return yards on eight total returns. That's an average of 1.25 yards, which ranked fourth in the nation and first in the Big Ten.

Minnesota has had success in the punt return game as well. The Gophers have blocked two punts this season (Sam Renner and Justus Harris) and have returned a punt for a touchdown (Antoine Winfield Jr.) The Gophers are ninth in the NCAA and first in the Big Ten in punt returns as they average 17.90 yards (10 returns for 179 yards).
