Defensive Linemen Headline Gophers 2019 Class

The University of Minnesota continues to turn heads on national signing day under head coach P.J. Fleck with five four-star recruits and the No. 33 ranked class signed on Wednesday morning.
The Gophers still have scholarships left after bringing in 23 commits on Wednesday. So far the class consists of 11 offensive players, 10 defensive players and two specialists. The Maroon and Gold added a lot of depth up front with five defensive linemen signing including a pair of four star commits, highest ever at that position in the internet era for Minnesota. One of those four star commits is an ESPN Top 300 commit and the other is an ESPN JUCO Top 50 commit.
On top of the five defensive linemen the Gophers also added three players to the secondary including a four-star defensive back and two linebackers.
Offensively Minnesota signed the No. 13 pro style quarterback in the country and Minnesota's top quarterback commit. They also added three running backs/athletes, three wide receivers including a four-star, and three offensive linemen.
The Gophers also added a kicker and the nation's top long snapper according to Kohl's Kicking Camp.
Minnesota kept four players home, signed three from Georgia, three from Missouri including the top two players signed to Minnesota from Missouri in the internet era, two from Wisconsin, Texas, Illinois, Florida and Ohio and one from Kansas, Pennsylvania and Nevada.
