Gophers Hand Out Awards at 2017-18 Team Banquet

2017 Season Review // Heslin, Peterson Named 2018 Captains // 2018 Class Officially Signs
The University of Minnesota soccer team celebrated their 2017 season this past weekend at the TCF Bank Stadium Club Room, handing out awards voted on by the players as well as celebrating all that made the 2017-18 season possible.
In addition to awards given out at the event, Gophers and their family and friends all were witness to highlight videos, a senior tribute video and a senior thank you video. Director of Soccer Operations, Sara Johnson, put the highlight video together for the banquet. The senior tribute video was organized by team staff and then edited by Gopher Digital Productions. Lastly, the senior "Thank You" video was put together and created by departing senior, Tori Burnett.
In addition to the award winners, the banquet recognized letterwinners at every level of the team, and award winners during the season.
Interim M Club Director Quincy Lewis was also at the banquet to welcome the Gophers six seniors into the M Club. They enter a prestigious club that all alumni student-athletes are a part of once they are done competing on the field. Lewis also welcomed first year letterwinners as they earned their first "M".
Head Coach Stefanie Golan continually thanked the support staff and special people that make the program run and support it. Associate Head Coach Krystle Seidel was also a presenter throughout the banquet, touching on the team awards, class recognition and letterwinners.

Most Improved: Maddie Castro
Newcomer Award: Athena Kuehn
