The University of Minnesota women's soccer team is currently traveling to Italy for an eight day trip where they will sight see, and play some soccer along the way. This scrapbook series will put in perspective a day of events with the Gophers.

With the amount of days the Gophers had in Italy, the weather was bound to catch them for a rough day. The team took a bus to a farmhouse in Tuscany to try some of the best food around. Then they were unfortunately forced to cancel their final game of the trip due to poor field conditions, but ended the day with some fantastic food and people surround them in Tuscany.

The trip began with a stop at the farmhouse, where despite the rain, the views were still incredible.

The team moved inside to eat an amazing lunch. Starting with bread and oil, the meal included pasta, salad, pork and an apple desert.
After the team's lunch adventure, the team headed to where they would try to play their third soccer game in three days. The field was unplayable due to the heavy rain, but that didn't stop a team who was already practicing to continue on in the muk.
The team concluded their trip with their third hotel of the trip, this one in Tuscany. The entire travel group sat down for some dinner, and ended the night with a great speech from departing senior, Tori Burnett.
The team concludes the trip with a 2-0 record on the pitch, defeating two Italian teams by scores of 2-0 and 3-0. The team will be traveling to Florence tomorrow, and also Milan later in the week!

Make sure you are following the Gophers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram so you don't miss any content the rest of the trip to Italy!
