Ogunrinde Wins Fourth Hammer Title

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Temi Ogunrinde won the seeded section of the hammer throw to kick off competition for the No. 10 University of Minnesota women's track & field team at the University of Louisville's Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational on Friday afternoon.
Ogunrinde led four Gophers in the hammer throw, taking home top honors with a throw of 67.07m (220-00). She won by over two meters ahead of Louisville's Makenli Forrest, who threw 65.00m (213-03) as runner-up.

Agnes Esser finished third with a throw of 62.41m (204-09), followed by Nayoka Clunis throwing 61.79m (202-09) for fourth place.
Nina Horvath also competed in the seeded section of the hammer throw, placing 10th with a mark of 49.26m (161-07).
All four Gophers already rank among Minnesota's all-time top-10 individuals in hammer throw led by Ogunrinde's program record mark of 67.45m (221-03).
Friday's competition slate for the Gophers also has members of the distance squad racing at the Drake Relays. Action continues at both the Lenny Lyles-Clark Wood Invitational and Drake Relays on Saturday while members of the team are scheduled to compete locally at Macalester College as well.
