Gophers Announce 2018 Promotion Schedule

MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota Soccer announced a full slate of marketing promotions for the 2018 Golden Gopher home season. The schedule features new and exciting promotions, highlighted by the annual Rock the Robbie on Friday, September 14 versus Illinois.
New this year will be Pups on the Pitch set for Sunday, August 26 as Minnesota takes on Washington State. The first 100 pups in attendance will receive a Gopher Soccer Frisbee. All owners of pups in attendance must submit this waiver (PDF) at the gates.
Minnesota kicks off the 2018 home portion of the schedule on Friday, August 24 against Ole Miss where the first 200 fans in attendance receive a 2018 Gopher Soccer shirtsey! On Sunday, September 2 the first 250 fans will receive a Gopher Soccer scarf that they can raise up to cheer on the Gophers as they host the defending national champion Stanford Cardinals.
On September 7 the Gophers are calling all alumni to join them at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium as they take on North Dakota State. Fans are encouraged to stay in the stands at halftime as we honor all the Gopher soccer alumni in attendance.
Gopher soccer will host Kid's Fest on Sunday, September 30 as they take on Rutgers. Along with free face painting, all junior Gophers can pick their own Gopher Soccer captain armband. Lastly, be one of the first 100 kids to sign up to participate in a post game scrimmage of 100 Kids vs. Gopher Soccer on the field!
Other promotions throughout the season include National Food Bank Day (Sept. 7), National Grandparent's Day (Sept. 14), Group Day and Goldy's Kid Club Day (Sept. 16), The World's Game and Faculty & Staff Day (Sept. 27), Gold Out (Oct. 13) and Fan Appreciation Day (Oct. 18).
