Gophers Unveil 2018 Cross Country Campaign

The Roy Griak Invitational and the Oz Memorial highlight the 2018 home cross country schedule for the Gophers.
MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota men's cross country program has unveiled its competition schedule for the 2018 campaign with the Roy Griak Invitational highlighting this year's slate according to Minnesota Director of Men's Track & Field and Cross Country Steve Plasencia.
The Maroon & Gold open the 2018 campaign at Les Bolstad Golf Course with the Oz Memorial on Friday, Sept. 7 before competing in the Greeno/Dirksen Invite in Lincoln, Neb., on Saturday, Sept. 15.
Minnesota returns to action with the Griak on Saturday, Sept. 29 as one of the nation's elite cross country competitions is held for the 33rd annual year at Les Bolstad Golf Course.
The Gophers will get a taste of the national championship course in Madison, Wis., on Saturday, Oct. 13 with Pre-Nationals along with a small contingency of runners at the Jim Drews Invitational in Ettrick, Wis., the same day.
A second trip to Lincoln follows to close out October as the Cornhuskers host the 2018 Big Ten Championships on Sunday, Oct. 28. Minnesota will also send competitors to St. John's Fall Finale in Collegeville, Minn., on Friday, Nov. 2.
The NCAA action gets underway on Friday, Nov. 9 with Bradley hosting the NCAA Midwest Regional in Peoria, Ill., followed by the NCAA Championships in Madison, Wis., on Saturday, Nov. 17.
