Start Time Adjusted for Soccer Match Versus Washington State

MINNEAPOLIS – Due to the threat of inclement weather Sunday afternoon the soccer match between the University of Minnesota and Washington State has been moved up two hours and will now be played at 11 a.m. Gates will open at 10 a.m.
Tomorrow marks Pup on the Pitch for Gopher soccer. Fans are encouraged to bring their for legged friends to Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium as the first 100 pups will receive a Gopher soccer Frisbee.
The Gophers are coming off another climatic finish as they defeated Ole Miss Friday evening 2-1 in double overtime. Megan Gray became the third freshman to net a game winner this season as she scored her first collegiate goal in the 109th minute.
Minnesota leads the all-time series against Washington State at 2-1-1. The last time Washington State visited Minneapolis was on September 7, 1997 where the Gophers won 3-2. Minnesota has not scored a goal in the last two meetings following last year's 0-0 tie in Pullman. Wash, despite outshooting the Cougars 14-9 in the affair. The Gophers hold a narrow 7-6 scoring margin in the all-time series.
