Gophers Set to Celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day

The Golden Gophers are pleased to celebrate the 2019 National Girls and Women in Sports Day. Gopher Athletics will offer exciting programming for girls of all ages and a special ticket package in conjunction with NGWSD when four Gopher women's programs host six events at home on Saturday, Feb. 2 and Sunday, Feb. 3 prior to NGWSD on Wednesday, Feb. 6. Minnesota's NGWSD programming is sponsored by Wellhaven Pet Health, a local full service pet hospital and proud sponsor of Gopher Athletics.
An exclusive NGWSD ticket package is available for just $30 and includes a ticket to all four ticketed home events and a Gopher Love Your Melon beanie (an over $50 value). Purchase your NGWSD Package today, and pick up your beanie at any ticketed women's event on Feb. 2 or Feb. 3 (excludes women's tennis).

Special programming for girls of all ages will be available throughout the weekend. Following the women's gymnastics meet on Saturday, all youth in attendance are invited to take part in the post-meet kids' press conference with head coach Jenny Hansen and members of the Gopher women's gymnastics team.
Arrive early to the Gopher women's hockey game on Sunday and participate in Girls Take Over Ridder! Pick up your NGWSD passport at the marketing table and enjoy numerous NGWSD activities around the Ridder Arena concourse prior puck drop.
Finally, Play Like A Girl Minnesota sport headbands are available at all women's events during the Gophers NGWSD weekend and can be picked up at any of marketing tables, while supplies last.
