Gophers in the Polls

The University of Minnesota continues to remain strong in the polls with eight teams being ranked this week.
Women's Hockey
Gopher Women's hockey took the top spot in the latest USCHO Poll after a standout performance against Wisconsin this past weekend. This is the first time this season that the team is ranked No.1.
Volleyball
Gopher volleyball has been ranked in the top-10 of the AVCA Top-25 Coaches Poll all season. The team remained at No. 6 for the second week in a row.
Football
Gopher football remained at No. 13 in the AP Top-25 Poll and No. 13 in the Coaches Poll after the bye week. Minnesota's No. 13 ranking in the AP Poll is the highest it has been since it was No. 12 on Dec. 5, 1999. The Gophers also reached No. 13 on Oct. 3, 2004.
Women's Swim and Dive
The Women's swim and dive team currently sits at No. 22 in the CSCAA Coaches Poll after being ranked No. 18 in the preseason poll.
Men's Swim and Dive
The Men's swim and dive team broke into the top-25 for the first time this season, coming in at No. 25 in the CSCAA Coaches Poll.
Women's Cross Country
The Women's Cross Country team checks in at No. 26 in the USTFCCCA National Coaches Poll this week. The team has been ranked in the top-30 all season long, and the Gophers will hold down the No. 26 slot heading into the NCAA Midwest Regional on Friday, Nov. 15. Their highest ranking of the season came on Oct. 8 when they jumped 11 spots to No. 18.
Wrestling
After their first dual, Gopher wrestling has moved around a bit in the polls. They come in at No. 9 for InterMat, FloWrestling and TrackWrestling. The National Wrestling Coaches Association also has the team slotted at No. 6.
Women's Basketball
Women's basketball remains at No. 17 in the ESPNW Preseason Top-25 poll and No. 23 in the AP Preseason Poll.
