Minnesota Deputy AD John Cunningham Named Director of Athletics at Cincinnati

Cunningham was at Minnesota since 2016 and also worked with Mark Coyle at Syracuse and Boise State
University of Minnesota Deputy Athletics Director John Cunningham has been named Director of Athletics at the University of Cincinnati. Cunningham, who has been at Minnesota since July 2016, was formally introduced today.
"I could not be more excited for the University of Cincinnati or for John, his wife Caitlin and twin sons Hank and Gus," said Minnesota Director of Athletics Mark Coyle, who worked with Cunningham at Minnesota, Syracuse and Boise State. "John is a proven administrator who will lead the Bearcats with great integrity, and his dedication to student-athlete welfare and past experiences will serve him and Cincinnati well."
At Minnesota, Cunningham oversaw the day-to-day administrative operations of the athletic department, worked with all 25 Gopher programs and led the external unit. He was the sport administrator for football, men's basketball and men's golf and also worked closely with the Golden Gopher Fund and Gopher Sports Properties.
