Coaches Caravan Highlights Gopher Fan Events Across Minnesota

This summer, fans across the state can interact with Gopher coaches, Paul Bunyan's Axe and more.
Several University of Minnesota head coaches will be hitting the road this summer, as Gopher Athletics announced the 2019 Coaches Caravan on Monday.
Coaches Caravan, which is a new initiative in 2019, will make four stops in Minnesota, with opportunities for fans to meet and greet Gopher head coaches P.J. Fleck (Football), Hugh McCutcheon (Volleyball), Bob Motzko (Men's Hockey), Richard Pitino (Men's Basketball) and Lindsay Whalen (Women's Basketball). Fans can also take pictures with Paul Bunyan's Axe and Minnesota's lovable mascot Goldy Gopher. The program, which will be emceed by the voice of the Gophers, Mike Grimm, will also include a silent auction.
The four Coaches Caravan stops will be in Owatonna (May 21), Dellwood (May 22), Chaska (June 3) and Alexandria (June 12). Each will be a ticketed event, with details on admission, location and more located at the website listed above.
In addition to the Coaches Caravan, fans across the Land of 10,000 Lakes will be able to take their picture with the axe throughout the month of June on Paul Bunyan's Axe Tour. Included in each city is a pop-up activation lasting several hours with giveaways, a photo station with the axe, music and more. Mark your calendars!
