Gophers Prep for NFL Draft, Signings

The NFL Draft is being held from April 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn.
The 2019 NFL Draft starts tonight and Minnesota has a handful of hopefuls who will be listening intently for their name during the next three days from the dais in Nashville, Tenn.
The following former Gophers from last year's team recently participated in Minnesota's Pro Day in front of 28 NFL teams: Emmit Carpenter, Blake Cashman, Donnell Greene, Jacob Huff, Julian Huff and Gary Moore.
Emmit Carpenter // Kicker
Carpenter made 53-of-67 career field goals and his 79.1 field goal conversion rate ranks first in school history (minimum 25 attempts). His 53 career field goals ranks third in program history and he made 31-of-40 field goals at TCF Bank Stadium, 19-of-23 on the road and 3-of-4 in neutral-site games. Carpenter, who was the 2016 Big Ten Kicker of the Year, made 117-of-118 career point-after attempts (117 is second most all-time) and ended his career with 80 consecutive PATs (second most of all-time). He finished his career with 276 points, which ranks him second all-time in school history among kickers and all players.
Blake Cashman // Linebacker
Cashman played in 48 career games for Minnesota and totaled 183 tackles, which included 31 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. He started his career as a walk-on, but then received a scholarship from head coach P.J. Fleck prior to his junior season. In 2018, he led the Gophers with 104 tackles, made 15 tackles for loss, broke up five passes, forced one fumble and returned it for a touchdown.
Donnell Greene // Offensive Line
Greene spent three seasons at Minnesota after transferring from Coffeyville Community College. He played in 36 career games for the Gophers and started 29 of them. In 2018, he played in 11 games and started 10 at left tackle. He blocked for an offense that averaged 28.9 points per game (tied for second most in a season since 2005) and one that rushed for 23 touchdowns and threw for 20 touchdowns (first time since 2006 Minnesota reached 20 passing and rushing touchdowns in a season).
Jacob Huff // Defensive Back
Jacob Huff played in 46 career games for the Maroon and Gold. He totaled 165 tackles, which included 93 during his senior season. Huff notched 4.5 tackles for loss, broke up 16 passes and forced two fumbles. He also totaled five career interceptions, returning one for a touchdown in 2017.
Julian Huff // Linebacker
Julian Huff is Minnesota's most tenured draft eligible player as he suited up in 51 career games. The special teams stalwart made 84 career tackles, 9.0 tackles for loss and also registered 4.5 career sacks as a Gopher.
Gary Moore // Defensive Line
Moore played in 33 games for the Gophers and helped anchor a defensive line in 2017-18 when he saw action in 25 games. Moore made 49 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks. He also broke up two passes, forced two fumble and recovered one fumble in his career.
