Gophers Announce 2019-20 Schedule

The University of Minnesota women's tennis team has announced its 2019-20 schedule, which features a home fall tournament and 14 spring home matches at Baseline Tennis Center. The Golden Gophers also host seven Big Ten Conference foes this year.
The Golden Gophers open the 2019 campaign when they host the Gopher Invitational, Sept. 19-22 at Baseline. Minnesota concludes the fall season at four potential road tournaments. Minnesota is at the All-American Championship, Oct. 5-13, the ITA Central Region, Oct. 17-22, The Florida Gulf Coast Invitational, Nov. 1-3, and the Oracle ITA National Fall Championship, Nov. 6-10.
Minnesota begins the spring season on the road for the first two weeks before playing at home for most of February. Minnesota travels to Montana to face the Grizzles as well as Utah, Jan. 18-19. The Gophers then take on UCLA in Los Angeles as well as either Loyola Marymount of Gonzaga, Jan. 24-25.
The Gophers open the home spring season against Northern Iowa and North Dakota, Feb. 1. Minnesota opens Big Ten season when Iowa visits Baseline, Feb. 7. The Gophers also take on Marquette that same weekend, Feb. 9, also at Baseline. After ITA Nationals, Feb. 7-10, Minnesota returns home to face Memphis and Missouri, Feb. 21 and Feb. 23.
Minnesota's March schedule consists of four Big Ten home matches, two road matches and a training trip to Orlando, Fla., during spring break. After a road contest at Colorado on March 1, Minnesota comes home to face Rutgers (March 6) and Wisconsin (March 7). The Gophers travel to their training trip March 10-14 before facing Maryland, March 22 in College Park, Md. The Gophers then host Penn State and Ohio State, March 27 and 29.
After two road events at Northwestern and Illinois, April 3 and April 5, Minnesota closes out the home season when it hosts Michigan and Michigan State, April 11 and 13. The Gophers face Purdue (April 17) and Indiana (April 19) before closing out conference action at the Big Ten Tournament, April 23-26, hosted by Purdue.
