'U' Sells 7,157 Tickets In 24 Hours

Single-game tickets are still on sale for next Thursday’s opener against South Dakota State, season tickets on sale as well.
The University of Minnesota athletic department announced today that it sold 7,157 tickets during a recent 24-hour flash sale for Minnesota's upcoming football game against South Dakota State. The Gophers and Jackrabbits are scheduled to play at 8 p.m. on Aug. 29 at TCF Bank Stadium.
Single-game tickets still remain for next Thursday's opener against South Dakota State and season tickets are on sale as well.
"I want to thank our fans for their tremendous response to our 24-hour sale, and I look forward to an exciting atmosphere next Thursday night at TCF Bank Stadium," said Director of Athletics Mark Coyle. "We will continue to explore creative avenues, which includes items like the new all-mobile Gopher Pass, to earn our fans back and provide a strong home-field advantage for our team."
Earlier this summer, Minnesota unveiled its most flexible ticket ever in the Gopher Pass. For only $199.96, the Gopher Pass grants fans access to all seven home games at TCF Bank Stadium in 2019. That's an average of $28.56 per game to watch Minnesota face Wisconsin, Nebraska, Penn State, Illinois, Maryland, South Dakota State and Georgia Southern.
