Bateman, Johnson Turn in Marquee Performances

Gophers rack up yards at TCF Bank Stadium
Minnesota receivers Tyler Johnson and Rashod Bateman wasted little time in etching their names into the TCF Bank Stadium record book this season.
The dynamic duo each have 100-yard receiving games at home this year and in doing so have turned in two of the top seven games by a receiver at the 10-year old stadium.
Johnson recorded 140 yards against Georgia Southern on Sept. 7, while Bateman carded 132 yards – all in the first half – against South Dakota State.
Johnson's 140 yards is tied for the third best performance ever at TCF Bank Stadium with Eric Decker, who totaled the same amount of yards against Wisconsin in 2009. Bateman's 132 yards is the seventh most at TCF Bank Stadium, which has hosted 72 Gopher football games.
Johnson ranks second (141 yards against Buffalo in 2017), tied for third (140 yards against Georgia Southern in 2019) and sixth (133 yards against Miami in 2018) in most receiving yards in a game at TCF Bank Stadium.
Da'Jon McKnight owns the school record with 146 receiving yards at TCF Bank Stadium, which he set in 2011 against New Mexico State.
