Why did you choose Minnesota?
Dalila Said: I transferred to the University of Minnesota because it has great academics and great coaches, which is exactly what I was looking for. I feel like I can grow as a player and as a person. With all the resources we have at the U, I can achieve great things.
From a school standpoint, how was transferring for you and getting accustomed with your new surroundings and team?
DS: Honestly, it was very easy for me. Everyone was super welcoming especially the players on my team, I absolutely love them.
What are some things you did this summer?
DS: I was in Egypt, training and just hanging out with my friends and family.
Have you decided on a major?
DS: Undeclared, but going for a business major.
From a tennis standpoint, what are some things you want to improve upon?
DS: I definitely want to work on my overall game, specifically improve my serve and becoming a more aggressive player. I want to pressure my opponents and force the error out of them from the start.
QUICK FACTS:
Favorite food: Sushi
Favorite tennis player: Roger Federer
Most memorable vacation and why: Venice with my whole family, because all of my cousins were there and it was so much fun.
Favorite quote: "Don´t be a prisoner to things you can´t change"
