Golden Gophers to Appear Seven Times on National TV

MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota women's basketball team is scheduled to have seven games air on national television this season, the Big Ten Conference announced Thursday. The Golden Gophers' slate features five contests on the Big Ten Network and two games on ESPN2.
The nation's first look at the 2019-20 Golden Gophers comes on Saturday, Jan. 4 when Minnesota visits Nebraska at 5 p.m. CT on BTN.
Big Ten Network is also scheduled to carry Minnesota's game at Illinois at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, the contest at Indiana on Monday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m., the home battle with Michigan on Monday, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. and the road matchup with Michigan State on Monday, Feb. 17 at 5:30 p.m.
BTN has also confirmed that it will carry all remaining conference games on BTN Plus, along with a select number of nonconference games.
Minnesota is scheduled to appear twice on ESPN2 with both games taking place at Williams Arena. The first matchup comes Sunday, Feb. 2 against Rutgers with a game time still to be determined. The other closes out the regular season on March 1 versus Maryland at 3 p.m.
The 2019 Big Ten Tournament will be televised by the Big Ten Network through the semifinal round, while ESPN2 will carry the championship game at 5 p.m. CT on Sunday, March 8.
The 49th season for the Golden Gophers gets underway on Tuesday, Nov. 5 with a home contest against Missouri State. Tipoff times and coverage for all other games will be announced at a later date. Fans can guarantee their seats to all of the team's home games by purchasing season tickets on GopherSports.com.

The team returns three of its top four leading scorers next season, and 53.8 percent of its scoring, 70.4 percent of its 3-pointers, 63.8 percent of its blocks, 57.1 percent of its rebounds, 55.6 percent of its minutes, 51.9 percent of its steals, and 50.6 percent of its assists.
