Fiser Lands Spot on Top-50 POY Watch List

Fiser is already fifth in program history 72 career wins and 666 strikeouts
Amber Fiser continued her stretch of preseason honors by earning a spot on the USA Softball Top-50 Collegiate Player of the Year Watch List.Â
A season ago, Fiser was a Top-25 Finalist for the Collegiate Player of the Year award. She was also a Honda Cup Award finalist, an NFCA All-American and was named the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year in 2019. She dominated Big Ten headlines week after week and matched a conference record with six Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors in one season.Â
The Van Horne, Iowa native is a three-time NFCA Division I Pitcher of the Week honoree (May 1, 2018, March 5, 2019 & May 7, 2019) and a nine-time Big Ten Pitcher of the Week winner.Â
Fiser has a career ERA of 1.50 and is already fifth in program history with 72 career wins and fifth in strikeouts with 666.Â
The Gophers ace was also named a Softball America First Team All-American and was ranked the No. 7 player in the entire country going into the 2020 season by Softball America.Â
