USTFCCCA Honors Minnesota for Academics

MINNEAPOLIS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has announced that both the men's and women's cross country programs at the University of Minnesota have been selected as USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams for the 2019 cross country season while a trio of Maroon & Gold cross country runners were bestowed with USTFCCCA All-Academic merits. 

Both cross country programs led the Big Ten in team cumulative grade point averages with the women carrying a 3.65 team GPA and the men carrying a 3.44 team GPA. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.

Meanwhile, Abby Kohut-Jackson, Alec Basten and Anastasia Korzenowski were selected for individual honors on behalf of the University of Minnesota. In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
