Gopher Men's Basketball Announces 2020-21 Schedule

The University of Minnesota men's basketball team begins the 2020-21 season next Wednesday, Nov. 25, and will play at least four additional non-conference games as well as a 20-game Big Ten schedule, announced today by the Big Ten Conference and Big Ten Network. Additional games may be announced at a later date.
Game times and broadcast information, unless indicated, will be announced at a later date.
The Golden Gophers open play Wednesday, Nov. 25 against Green Bay. The game is slated to be streamed on BTN+ and a start time will be announced at a later date. Minnesota then hosts North Dakota on Friday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m., on Big Ten Network. Four days later, Boston College visits Williams Arena, Tuesday Dec. 8 as a part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Minnesota will also play Kansas City on Thursday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., which will be televised on BTN.
The Gophers begin its 20-game conference schedule on Tuesday, December 15 at Illinois before hosting its final non-conference game on Dec. 20 against Saint Louis.
Jumping back into league play, the Gophers host back-to-back home games against Iowa on Friday, Dec. 25 and Michigan State on Monday, Dec. 28. Minnesota then goes on the road Thursday, Dec. 31 to face Wisconsin, before it returns home on Sunday, Jan. 3 against Ohio State. The Gophers follow that by traveling to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines, Wednesday, Jan. 6. Minnesota plays Iowa either on Sunday, Jan. 10 or Monday Jan. 11 in Iowa City, Iowa.
The Gophers return to Williams Arena on Saturday, Jan. 16 to face Michigan, followed by a road game at Nebraska on Jan. 20. Minnesota hosts Maryland on Jan. 23 before going on the road for two against Purdue, Saturday, Jan. 30 and Thursday, Feb. 4 against Rutgers. The Gophers will then host the Cornhuskers on either Sunday, Feb. 7 or Monday, Feb. 8, followed by a home contest against Purdue on Feb. 11. After two road games at Maryland (Sunday, Feb. 14) and Indiana (Wednesday, Feb. 17), Minnesota hosts Illinois (Feb. 20) and Northwestern (Feb. 27). Minnesota's final two games of the regular season are scheduled for Wednesday, March 3 at Penn State and at home against Rutgers, on Saturday or Sunday of March 6-7.
The Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament will be played March 10-14 at the United Center in Chicago.
