Gophers Celebrate Senior Class

The Gopher women's hockey team held its annual senior celebration on Sunday.
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Gopher women's hockey team held its annual senior celebration on Sunday, honoring its six seniors: captain Patti Marshall, assistant captain Alex Woken, Kippin Keller, Sarah Potomak, Katie Robinson, and Sydney Scobee.
From 2016-17 to 2019-20, the Gopher seniors have a record of 107-30-12 in 149 games for a .758 winning percentage over the last four years. Their accomplishments include winning the 2019 WCHA regular season title, the 2018 WCHA Final Faceoff championship, and finishing as 2019 NCAA runners-up. The seniors have made three NCAA Tournament appearances and two Frozen Four berths while combining for 339 points (123 goals, 216 assists) as a class.
Kippin Keller
Kippin Keller has been in the line-up for 115 games for the Gophers, tallying 19 career points with seven goals and 12 assists. A left-handed forward from Minnetonka, Minn., Keller has recorded 91 shots on goal and has two game-winning goals in her career. She scored her first career goal with a shorthanded tally in a 2-1 win at St. Cloud State during her freshman season. Keller was part of Minnesota's WCHA regular-season championship team as a junior in 2018-19 and the Gophers' WCHA Final Faceoff championship team as a sophomore in 2017-18. She has competed at two NCAA Frozen Fours. Keller will graduate this spring with a degree in Communications. She is the daughter of Jennifer and Kurt Keller.
Patti Marshall
A native of Thief River Falls, Minn., team captain Patti Marshall has played in 147 games for the Gophers and recorded 60 points on seven goals and 53 assists. Marshall was part of Minnesota's WCHA regular-season championship team and named to the All-WCHA Third Team as a junior in 2018-19 along with helping the Gophers to the WCHA Final Faceoff championship as a sophomore in 2017-18. She has competed at two NCAA Frozen Fours. Marshall is a three-time WCHA Defensive Player of the Week award recipient as well. A 2019 AHCA All-American Scholar and Big Ten Distinguished Scholar, Marshall is a two-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete, WCHA All-Academic Team, and Academic All-Big Ten honoree. She will graduate with a degree in Psychology. She is the daughter of Rick Marshall and Chris Harff.
Sarah Potomak
A left-handed forward from Aldergrove, British Columbia, Sarah Potomak has played in 142 career games for the Gophers. She ranks 11th in program history with 174 career points and is eighth among all-time Gophers with 110 career assists. A member of Canada's National Women's Team during the 2017-18 season, Potomak's accolades as a Gopher include being named a top-10 finalist for the 2017 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award and earning a place on the 2017 All-WCHA Second Team, 2016 All-WCHA Third Team, and 2016 WCHA All-Rookie Team. She has earned eight WCHA Player of the Week awards and five WCHA Player of the Month awards as well. The 2016 National and WCHA Rookie of the Year, Potomak was part of Minnesota's NCAA championship team as a freshman in 2015-16 and a member of the Gophers' WCHA regular season championship team as a junior in 2018-19. She has competed at three NCAA Frozen Fours. A two-time WCHA All-Academic Team and Academic All-Big Ten honoree, Potomak will graduate this spring with a degree in Elementary Education. She is the daughter of Jane and Steve Potomak.
Katie Robinson
Katie Robinson is a versatile right-handed player who has seen time at both forward and defense during her Gophers career. A native of Kasson, Minn., Robinson has been in the line-up for 118 career games and recorded 12 points on eight goals and four assists. Robinson was part of Minnesota's WCHA regular-season championship team as a junior in 2018-19 and the Gophers' WCHA Final Faceoff championship team as a sophomore in 2017-18. She has competed at two NCAA Frozen Fours. Robinson is a two-time WCHA All-Academic honoree and earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2017-18, and she will graduate this spring with a degree in Supply Chain & Operations Management. She is the daughter of Douglas and Debra Robinson.
Sydney Scobee
A right-handed goaltender, Sydney Scobee has appeared in 49 games as a Gopher. The Minnetrista, Minn., native has a .931 save percentage and a 1.63 goals against average for the Maroon & Gold. Scobee made her Gopher debut in the 2018-19 season, joining the Gophers as a junior after beginning her college career at Vermont. In two seasons for the Catamounts, Scobee appeared in 31 career games. For her collegiate career, Scobee has a record of 46-24-8 with 13 shutouts, including 10 as a Gopher. Scobee has earned four WCHA Goaltender of the Week awards and two WCHA Goaltender of the Month awards. She was part of Minnesota's WCHA regular-season championship team as a junior in 2018-19 and made her NCAA Tournament debut last season. Scobee will graduate with a degree in Human Resource Development. She is the daughter of Brandy and Eric Scobee.
Alex Woken
Assistant captain Alex Woken has played in 125 games during her career, recording 37 goals and 36 assists for 73 career points. A right-handed forward out of Fargo, N.D., Woken has a career-best 30 points so far this season, including tallying her 50th career point earlier this year. Woken has a career plus-minus of +48 and has scored eight game-winning goals. She was part of Minnesota's WCHA regular-season championship team as a junior in 2018-19 and the Gophers' WCHA Final Faceoff championship team as a sophomore in 2017-18. Woken has competed at two NCAA Frozen Fours as well. A 2017 AHCA All-American Scholar, Woken is a two-time WCHA Scholar-Athlete, Academic All-Big Ten, and WCHA All-Academic honoree. She will graduate this spring with a degree in Neuroscience. She is the daughter of Scott and Kathy Woken.
