@GopherHockey game when I was 5 or 6. I've had ice in my veins ever since.

October 22nd, 1977. It was my ninth birthday party. I had my friends to Memorial Stadium. We beat number 1 Michigan 16-0 for the Little Brown Jug.

Recruiting trip in fall of 1996. Watched @TyroneCarter954 show Syracuse what Pompano Beach was all about.

My earliest Gopher memory is when Rhys Lloyd hurdled the Wisconsin bench to retrieve the Axe in 2003 at the Dome

I think it was a 1996 football game vs. Ball State. Cory Sauter threw a TD at or towards the end of the game to win it. 🎉

1975-76 Gophers vs Marquette. Al McGuire refused to bring his team out until Gophers came out and did their warmups! 30 minute late start...Gophers win! Hooked on college basketball ever since

Always proud to be an Islander
It was a Gopher football game at the old Memorial Stadium and I was 4 years old. 🏈❤️🧡

Not sure if first but great memories of Paul Giel almost landing in my lap on the sidelines with my dad in his wheelchair next to me. Wheee, that's a long time ago!🏈

11 years old and @GopherFootball blocks a punt in the fourth quarter and returns it for a TD against IOWA! First time I hugged my dad out of pure joy! Anyone know the year?

Gophers vs Iowa at the Dome in '98. Gophers absolutely routed them 49-7.

Gophers spring game. A friend was being recruited. Had access to the field. Caught a pass from Rickey Foggie during warmups.

Late 70's or Early 80's as a kid in the nose bleed section at William's Arena. Jim Dutcher was coaching!

Gopher's Badgers football at Memorial in the late 70's. Can't remember the exact year but had a foot of snow the night before and was a great snowball fight day in the stands. A great time for an under 10 kid.

I believe it was @GopherMBB, 88-89 season 🆚 Northwestern.

I was a first grader and I remember spending a fair amount of time at school that day trying to figure out how spell Shikenjanski. #GoGophers
I'm sure I went to games before this, but Ball State and Purdue in 1995 were the first two I remember (I was 8). Hooked after seeing the Purdue game. And they missed the FG at the end cause I waved my sweatshirt. I know it's true, my dad told me and he wouldn't lie about that.

My late father took me to a Gophers Mens BB Dec 1963 Archie Clark - Lou Hudson - Maroon & Gold greatness right there... Went on to have FB and Mens Hockey season tix for several years...

The first #Gophers game I remember going to was with my dad. We watched Willie Burton and Richard Coffey outwork #2 Michigan at the Barn. The students' section chanted "Overrated!" for what felt like 10 straight minutes. #SkiUMah

I was all of 2 1/2 months old when my parents took me to watch @GopherMBB beat Louisville on Feb 19, 1978. Unfortunately, I hadn't yet figured out beating a Top 10 team was a big deal and hung out in the first aid room with mom.

Mid 70's I was a Boy Scout usher at games in Memorial Stadium. Luckily for me our scoutmaster was a Gopher fan and we ushered at football and basketball games.

Wisconsin 2001. Won the Axe, @UMNmarch marched back to campus.

Can't remember the 1st, but being able to be on the Williams Arena court was a thrill. My high school team played a preliminary BB game (Lake City's Breuer vs Woodbury's Kaupa) before Gophers hosted Illinois. Both, of course, went on to play for the Gophers.

My dad was an M man and had tickets to many sports, but he first took me men's basketball in 1966. Loved every minute.
— Jane Stendahl (@JaneStendahl) June 19, 2020
Freshman year, October 7, 1995. Gophs v. Boilers AKA Darkins vs. Alston. Walked over to Metrodome from Comstock Hall. Loved every minute of the 39-38 offensive showcase. Gopher fan for life from that day on. #RowTheBoat #SkiUMah #GoGophers

January 1972 - 1 point win over Indiana.

I think it was about 19,000, maybe a bit more, and people were in the aisles. The fire marshal must have had to look the other way. It was the beginning of a life long fanatical devotion to Gopher Basketball.
