Gophers are 15-4 with Morgan as the starter
Tanner Morgan was named to The Manning Award Watch List earlier this week.
The list includes 30 of the top quarterbacks in the nation heading into the 2020 season. The winner will again be selected by a voting panel, which includes national media and each of the Mannings, after the bowls.
The Manning Award was created by the Allstate Sugar Bowl in honor of the college football accomplishments of Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning. It is the only quarterback award that includes the candidates' bowl performances in its balloting.
Morgan, who was All-Big Ten Second Team last year, and set school single-season records for passing yards (3,253), touchdown passes (30), completion percentage (66.0%), passing yards per game (250.2), touchdown-interception ratio (4.28) and pass efficiency rating (178.7) in 2019.
Morgan was one of 12 finalists for The Manning Award in 2019.
