Gable Steveson: Beat the Streets Rewind

GopherSports: What were your thoughts on the match and your performance overall?
Gable: I thought the match was great, I thought my performance was great, but I can always be better the next day. As I mentioned before my match, I came for business and I think that I accomplished that goal last week against a great opponent.

GS: Explain what the experience of Beat the Streets was like for you?
Gable: It was very nice. Beat the Streets is a great event and it’s for a great cause. I was honored to be able to compete and be in the position that I was in.

GS: Now that you’re back on the freestyle scene, where do you think you stand in the 125kg weight class, and is there anything that you feel like you want to or need to prove going forward?
Gable: I feel like I’m at the top of the freestyle game at 125kg, and it’s just a matter of time until I’ll be able to prove myself. Until then, we will just continue to trust the process and continue the work that we’ve been doing. My time will come soon enough.
