MINNEAPOLIS -- University of Minnesota redshirt senior opposite Stephanie Samedy was named Big Ten Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. It's her fourth player of the week honor this season and 12th of her career.

The Clermont, Fla., native had another great weekend on both ends of the court, averaging 4.75 kills per set and 5.13 digs per set. Samedy hit .441 with 18 kills, 15 digs and two blocks in a three set sweep of Indiana on Wednesday. She followed that up with a 20-kill, 26-dig (ties career-high) performance in a five set win over No. 6 Nebraska on Saturday night.

Samedy leads all Power 5 players with nine 20+ kill matches this season and ranks in the top 15 nationally in points (5.18) and kills (4.70) per set. She also leads the Big Ten in both categories. She's tallied double doubles in 16 of the 19 matches she's played in this season, including two 20 kill/20 dig performances.
