MINNEAPOLIS -- The University of Minnesota volleyball program has signed setter Chloe Ng to its 2022 recruiting class. Ng joins middle blocker Carter Booth (Denver, Colo.) and outsides Julia Hanson (Savage, Minn.) and Mckenna Wucherer (Brookfield, Wis.) as new additions to the program.
"This is an extremely talented recruiting class," said head coach Hugh McCutcheon. "These four are already great student-athletes and people. We know they will have great careers here in Minnesota."
A 5-foot-9 setter out of Vancouver, Canada, (York House H.S./Ducks Volleyball Club), Chloe Ng comes to Minnesota after an excellent prep career that saw her earn BC High School Provincial First Team All-Star honors. She won the 'Best Setter' award at the Western Canadian Independent Volleyball Championship and earned Lower Mainland Independent Secondary Schools Association All-Star honors.
"Chloe is a high IQ setter who is coming off capturing the 2019 Provincial Championship in Vancouver and being named a First Team All-Star," McCutcheon said. "She is a competitor and she will be a great teammate. Chloe has the ability to run a fast offense and we are looking forward to her adding depth at the setter position."

Why Minnesota:Â "I chose Minnesota not only because of the combination of high academics and athletics, but for the wonderful coaching staff and team culture!"
Personal:Â The daughter of Ann Lo and David Ng, Chloe is an only child. A three-time honor roll student at York House H.S., she plans on studying entrepreneurial management at Minnesota.
Goals: "My goals for when I get to Minnesota is to constantly better myself and the people around me. Additionally, my goal as the team would be to win the Big Ten and win a national title. For myself, I want to become the best volleyball player that I can be."
