ESPN College GameDay Visits Minneapolis
ESPN College GameDay made its first appearance in the Twin Cities as No. 9 Minnesota hosted No. 13 Wisconsin. The college football pregame show broadcast live from Northrop Mall on the U of M campus and Gopher fans flooded the area as early as 5:00 a.m. Saturday, waiting in the cold to have an up-close look at the broadcast which started until 8:00 a.m. ESPN's Pat McAfee was one of the most vocal supporters of the Gopher program throughout the broadcast, and the fun continued with appearances by Eric Decker and Ryan Saunders. At the end of the broadcast, analyst Lee Corso picked the Gophers and donned the head of Goldy Gopher.
