Zumwinkle Earns WCHA Monthly Honors

Grace Zumwinkle is the WCHA Forward of the Month for February 2021.
MINNEAPOLIS -- Senior forward Grace Zumwinkle has been honored as WCHA Forward of the Month for February 2021, the WCHA announced Tuesday.
Zumwinkle has earned her second WCHA Forward of the Month award of the season and the fifth WCHA monthly award of her career after leading the WCHA with 11 points, seven goals, 28 shots on goal, one hat trick, and a +9 rating in six games during February. The Excelsior, Minn., native helped the Gophers to a 2-3-1 record. Zumwinkle had at least one goal in five of six games in February. She scored two goals against the Badgers, one against Ohio State, and four against Bemidji State, including a hat trick. Zumwinkle was named WCHA Forward of the Week following and eight-point series against the Beavers to close out the month.
Zumwinkle and the fourth-seeded Gophers are back in action at Ridder Arena this Saturday, facing off against top-seeded Wisconsin in the semifinal round of the WCHA Final Faceoff. Puck drop is set for 1:07 p.m. CT.
