Big Ten Opponents Announced for 2021-22

Minnesota will play 20 conference games this season, nonconference schedule will be announced at a later date

The University of Minnesota men's basketball team will compete in 20 Big Ten regular-season conference games during the 2021-22 season, as the league announced conference opponents today.

Dates, times and broadcast information will be announced at a later date, as will Minnesota's nonconference schedule for the 2021-22 season. 

Minnesota will play the following seven schools at home and on the road next season: Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin. 

The Golden Gophers will welcome Illinois, Purdue and Rutgers to Williams Arena and will travel to play road games at Maryland, Michigan and Nebraska. 

The 2022 Big Ten Championship will be held March 9-13 at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. 

The 2021-22 season marks the first year under newly named head coach Ben Johnson
