Soccer Announces Big Ten Slate

MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota soccer team's 10-game league schedule was announced Thursday morning by the Big Ten Conference.
With competition returning its regular spot on the calendar this fall, the Golden Gophers will host five games at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium and take to the road for the other contests.
Big Ten action starts on Saturday, Sept. 18 with a home Border Battle matchup with Wisconsin. The Gophers then go on the road for the next two contests with trips to Ohio State (Sept. 23) and Michigan State (Sept. 26).
Minnesota returns home the following week as it welcomes in Rutgers on Sept. 30 and defending regular season champion Penn State on Oct. 3.
A visit to Purdue is scheduled for Oct. 10 before returning home to face Illinois on Oct. 14. The Gophers then play its final road games of the season on Oct. 17 at Northwestern and Oct. 21 at defending Big Ten Tournament champion Iowa. The regular season concludes Oct. 24 with a home contest against Nebraska.
The quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament are set to begin on Oct. 27.
Minnesota's non-conference schedule, as well as game times and broadcast information, will be announced at a later date. All schedules are subject to change.
