Morgan Named to Golden Arm List

Gophers open season on Sept. 2 against Ohio State, tickets are available
University of Minnesota quarterback Tanner Morgan was named to the 2021 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List today.
Morgan is one of the best to ever wear the Maroon and Gold. He is 18-8 as a starter and has completed 405 passes (seventh most in school history) of 653 attempts (eighth most in school history) for 6,028 yards (sixth most in school history) in his career. His career completion percentage of .620 (405-of-623) ranks first in school history and his 46 career touchdown passes ranks fourth. Morgan threw a touchdown pass in a school-record 18 consecutive games from Dec. 26, 2018 to Nov. 13, 2020.
Morgan owns 11 Minnesota season and game records and was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2020. In 2019, he was named All-Big Ten Second Team (2019), a Davey O'Brien Award semifinalist and a Manning Award finalist (2019).
The Gophers start the season at home at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2 at Huntington Bank Stadium against Ohio State. Minnesota recently announced full capacity for the upcoming season and tickets are available.
