‘U’ Women’s Squad Ranked 10th Nationally

The ‘U’ returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the St. Olaf Invite in Northfield.
MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women's cross country team earned a No. 10 ranking in the newest USTFCCCA National Coaches' Poll, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Tuesday.
The Maroon & Gold are one of six Big Ten teams in the national rankings this week and one of three conference programs in the poll's top-10 along with Michigan State (fifth), Michigan (ninth), Illinois (17th), Indiana (18th) and Wisconsin (28th).
Minnesota officially opened the season last weekend with a second-place finish at Penn State's Harry Groves Spiked Shoe Invitational with Bethany Hasz (third), Abby Kohut-Jackson (seventh) and Anastasia Korzenowski (10th) leading the Gophers.
