Wheelwright ties school record with seventh straight game with a touchdown.
Quarterback Adam Weber connected with Ernie Wheelwright for a 13-yard touchdown reception, allowing Wheelwright to tie the school record for most consecutive with a touchdown at a total of seven from 11/4/06 to 9/15/07. Wheelwright registered five receptions, including two touchdowns, for a total of 43 yards against Florida Atlantic.
Wheelwright is No. 5 on the Gophers' all-time list for career receptions and career receiving yards. His numbers include 159 receptions along with 2,434 yards and 26 touchdowns, which is third in school history for receiving touchdowns.
