Gophers Earn Scholar All-America Team Honors

MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota women's and men's swimming and diving programs have received Scholar All-America Team honors for the Fall 2021 semester, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has announced.
The teams earned the honors after posting GPAs of 3.50 and 3.11, respectively.
Every Big Ten program on both the men's and women's sides was recognized. The Minnesota women's GPA ranked third out of 12 Big Ten teams behind only Illinois (3.56) and Penn State (3.51), while the men were sixth out of eight.
In total, 728 programs from 450 institutions earned the honor.
Minnesota is back in action this Friday (starting at 5 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m.) when the men host Northwestern and Purdue and the women face Northwestern and Iowa at Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.
Fans planning on attending either day of the tri-dual will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or proof of a negative, third-party COVID-19 test within 72 hours of the event, according to Minnesota's temporary vaccination policy.
