Trailing by 11 at the half the Scarlet Knights did not shy away at home. Rutgers defense ramped up and it led to a 14-10 advantage in the third quarter to pull to within seven points.
In the fourth it was the Gophers' defense that stepped up. The Maroon and Gold held the Scarlet Knights to eight points on just 3-of-15 shooting. Paired with the energy on the defensive end was Sissoko. The Paris, France native scored the final 11 points for the Golden Gophers, shooting 5-of-6 from the free throw line and finishing with seven rebounds.
