CC McGraw Named Academic All-American

She's the first Gophers volleyball player since 2016 to earn the honor
MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota graduate libero CC McGraw was named to the 2022 Academic All-America volleyball team, selected by the College Sports Communicators. McGraw was placed on the Second Team. This honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
A Prior Lake, Minn., native, McGraw is just the sixth Gopher in program history to be named an Academic All-American. The six individuals have combined to earn 10 awards.
A two-time AVCA All-America honoree on the court, McGraw finished her Minnesota career with 1,924 Digs (No. 3 all-time at Minnesota) in 133 matches played. She helped the Gophers to one Final Four, two Elite Eights and five Sweet 16s in her career from 2018-22.
She was a four-time AVCA All-Region honoree, four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and earned three-time All-Big Ten nods. The 2022 Second Team All-Big Ten selection tallied 3.35 digs per set as a fifth-year, helping Minnesota finish 22-9 (15-5 Big Ten) and make the Sweet 16 for the eighth year in-a-row.
McGraw earned his undergraduate degree in psychology and earned a 3.86 GPA. She finished her master's in sport and exercise science this month and tallied a 3.81 GPA.
