Quotable
"We started off really well and then we experienced some troubles on the balance beam," said head coach Jenny Hansen. "But I was really proud of the way the team came back on floor and vault today. We rested some athletes – having back-to-back weekends and two meets in three days can be a lot on our athletes – so we decided to make the decision to rest some of our athletes. Overall there were a lot of positives that we can take away from this meet and there is also an opportunity for us to respond better for the next one."
All-Around
Ona Loper and Lexy Ramler competed in the all-around and Loper claimed the title with a 39.675. Loper scored a perfect 10 on the vault and also won the floor outright with a 9.925. She tied for top honors on the beam with a 9.875 and tied for fifth on bars with a 9.875. This comes on the heels of Loper posting a career best 39.750 (fourth best score in school history) to win the all-around against Ohio State last Saturday.
