Black History Month: Makenna Dowell

Black History Month
Makenna Dowell started 120 games over four years at Auburn before transferring to Minnesota last fall. She led the Tigers with 19 RBI and 42 hits in 2021, while her .294 average was second on the team. The Suwanee, Georgia, native was the team's only player to start all 51 games at shortstop. She also excelled in the classroom earning Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors a year ago.
