Forward Ella Huber scored two goals and added an assist in Minnesota's regular season title-clinching victory on Saturday.

MINNEAPOLIS – Freshman Ella Huber has been selected as WCHA Rookie of the Week following her first multi-goal game in Minnesota's sweep over St. Thomas to claim the WCHA regular-season title.

Huber earned her second WCHA Rookie of the Week honor after recording two goals and an assist in the regular-season finale on Saturday. The performance moved her season totals to eight goals and 20 points. Those totals trail only Peyton Hemp in the WCHA by a freshman. The Northfield, Ill. native joins Hemp as the only Gopher to earn the honor twice this season. Huber skated to a plus-three rating and won 9/13 faceoffs over the two-game series.

No. 1 Minnesota hosts St. Thomas in the first round of the WCHA tournament. Game one is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday, game two at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, and game three at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday if needed.
